It’s a sunny Sunday morning and you’re probably thinking to yourself, “I need to get the week’s groceries. I need to get out of the house. I wish I owned a tomato plant!” Not to worry! The Kingsbury Drive Community Market is your next venture to all things local.

The Kingsbury Drive Community Market is one of the Diamond Valley Community Support’s major fundraisers. Held every Sunday in Car Park 2 of the La Trobe Bundoora campus between 9AM and 1PM (except La Trobe University’s Open Day and Christmas), the market is home to over 50+ stall holders selling a range of various quality goods up for grabs.

You’ll find a range of stalls offering assortments of flowers, plants for the garden, tools for the backyard, clothing, jewellery and much more. Regular punters will be greeted with regular stallholders, including the famous Portarlington Mussels, the ever-so-amazing Gozleme on offer and the range of fresh bread and gourmet pies, nuts, dips and cheeses from an old gentleman who’s range of goodies are gone by 12pm. Some stalls are regular, and others are one off chances – so your best bet is to attend weekly and catch all the good stuff.

Not only is the market great for discovering local produce, but all funds from the market enables the community support group of Diamond Valley to offer more community funding as well as various areas of support for their services.

The market is super family friendly and dog friendly, so bring the whole family along and be ready for a flooding of dogs. On regular occasions the market features entertainment including musicians and choirs to ensure your bustling market is more than lively.

Travelling to the market is easy – with multiple accessible bus routes (including stops at the local Reservoir station), as well as a 5 minute walk from the 86 tram line (RMIT University – Docklands), you’re set for a good day out. Parking on campus on weekends is free too.

So, if you’re ever wondering how you should spend your Sunday morning, head to the Kingsbury Drive Community Market for a treat or two.

Interested in booking a stall? Contact the DVCS on (03) 9435 8282 between 9:30AM and 4:30PM Mon to Fri.

Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off the screen in Ie. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The style and design look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Many thanks
