Silent Fear

An unexpected event that you lived through,

Your mind racing and your body in shock,

Maybe it was meant to happen, and it was overdue,

Your arm now casted and heavy as a cinderblock.

You spend your days in rehab trying to recover,

This lifelong contract that is drilled into your bone,

Another scar to add to the collection to tell your future lover,

About your lifelong mistake that costed your 'throne'.

All the years of being bullied that you are too weak and skinny,

Has led to this moment where you grew hubris,

Simply because you were afraid of being puny,

Now you live with this silent fear of a lack of coolness.
