Identity - Poem

Identity.

Truth and perception.

I differ through each lens I am viewed.

You can’t know the way that another will see you, their bias, their motives, their preconceived

notions.

What about me then? Well I can’t be trusted. Unconscious, yet too, you cannot trust you.

Can true identity be, if no one can see? And who am I really if no one can tell me?

Does the truth speak louder than all of our voices?

As the tide dips and wanes, our minds twist and strain.

What’s fluid erodes stone, but it settles again.

Identity lives in the chaos of then.
